The Rugby Football Union, Twickenham

wdl were appointed to create a 5 star health club at Twickenham Stadium, the home of British Rugby.

The three storey shell structure was designed to include a 14m high indoor climbing wall, 20m swimming pool, sauna and spa pool. The penthouse gym floor includes spin and fitness studios while a children’s area, cafe, and the locker rooms sit above the reception.

With over 35,000 sq. ft. the project was a collaboration between the RFU and Virgin Active, to produce their first Classic Club, using a more traditional style favoured by the RFU with leather and hardwood finishes, polished stone and hand cut tiles.
